Say it Ain't So

Well, it's pretty depressing to feel like the only music nerd in the country who didn't make it to Coachella. I mean, I know the only thing I hate more than Good Charlotte is desert heat, so Coachella doesn't exactly sound like my dream vacation. But still any bill that features my boyfriend Conor, my girl-crush Jenny Lewis, the Arcade Fire, Bloc Party (ed note: changed per Jen), and Weezer is enough to get my pasty white ass in the desert hot sun. But alas, I'm broke. My spies (a/k/a Jen) said that a good time was had by all. (Especially the "all" with the best VIP passes!)

Speaking of Weezer....might I digress and talk about their recent Rolling Stone article? It kinda freaked me out. And I am a tried and true Weezer fan. But Rivers doesn't seem sad and tortured in a sexy rockstar kind of way. He seemed genuinely fucked up. Like he was autistic or something. And reading about how dysfunctional the band is because of his weird behavoir kind of made their music sound different to me. Like sad. Or desperate. Or somehow less fun. I can hear all the WORK in it now. And that is kind of a shame.

Anyway, the real reason I'm getting back on the blogging horse is to save myself the time of Eli Cash-ing myself to all of my friends. (You know how in the Royal Tennenbaums Margot is upset to discover that Eli has been sending her mother his clippings and Etheline says, "I think he just likes the encouragement.") I've been a busy little bee this past month or so and, aside from a few interesting job interviews and freaking out about needing to find a new apartment, this is what I've been busy with......Check it out:
